Equipment

Spending time in nature can always offer something unexpected. Being well equipped is important. It's about being able to handle the situations that can arise - and to get the most out of turn.

Backpack

Even if you just going off on a short trip and take some tea, I think a backpack would be preferable. They have both hands free and your body is evenly loaded. Even an empty backpack do have a function, because you can put clothes in it if it gets too hot. There are also some things that I always think to pack along. I have a rather simple backpack to a maximum of 30 liters. The important thing for me is that there are hip belt, that it is possible to tighten up if you do not have much in it and that there are several compartments and feel free to fix the shoulder strap as well so that it does not slide down your shoulders.

Various devices

Here are some things that I always thought that you should have your backpack, first aid kit, knife, cup to drink from, string, seat cover, and not least a filled water bottle.

Navigation

Nowadays, most have GPS in their phone, which is perfect for bes tämma's in position. I use exclusion of GPS. But if you're in an area often is a good investment to buy a terrain map (what is called the Green Map). But you can also prepare your trip home with detailed maps of the county administrative boards provide. You can of course also make prints and take you out.

The good old compass has well soon made her, at least if you look at so that you have purchased an emergency charger for his cell phone. Battery life in today's smart phones are not what one would have liked. An emergency charger costs around a hundred and is the smartest thing you can buy for your phone.

Litter

If you have children with them is a litter indispensable. The child can go either all or part of the tour. Small children can even take a nap. I dare not really recommend any brand or model, as there are a plethora of solutions. I have a Haglöfs which is an old classic (see picture), but online, I've read that it got some mixed criticism. Personally I think it worked out perfectly and can be purchased for a small amount on the block. Another carrier that many seem to get on with the ergo baby carriers . For the youngest there's also Baby Bjorn as an alternative but avoid those models that lack breed thing straps to the back.

Hiking Poles

Although Nordic walking has become popular for the motion, there are practical reasons to bring a pair of bars in your pack. Gladly telescope variant so that it is easy to shove them in a bag or backpack. It's best to practice balance and for the body to move naturally is to walk without sticks. But sometimes pops it in awkward areas or tight power. Then it's great to be able to pick up sticks to get around a bit safer and easier. If an accident occurs and a sprain a foot, you're extra grateful to be able to extract them from the pack. From 400 Euro and is a reasonable price. I found a good range of stavgångsbutiken.se .

Binoculars

A pair of binoculars is a good tool for those who like to explore and put names on things. It is yet not only birds, but also to watch the game or explore the countryside. There are a plethora of variants on the market. The simplest is mono binoculars that one can carry in your pocket. Then there are binoculars of all sizes, designs and qualities. What you should look at is the magnification, the ability to resist moisture, weight and size. More about choosing binoculars you can find here . For developing an interest in the bird as a telescope is a must. Many bird habitats provide little exchange without one. There is quite a low-value items for those who want to try or just use it a couple times a year.

Camera

An opportunity to photograph something that most people want when they are outdoors, some take a picture every now and then and other snaps of a couple hundred pictures on a half day. Most mobiles take the decent pictures that works in most situations. But the difference with a real camera is still great. It's not just the number of pixels that matters, sensors and optics are also different.

I have been climbing at this not completely unusual ladder, camera phone, compact camera, superzoom finally SLR. The easiest is probably been super zoom camera that could handle focal lengths equivalent to 27.6 mm-404mm, but that one had to drop around the mass lenses. Are you looking for a superzoom, it's really important to look at the optics so that it does not get too much distortion (for example, curved horizon in wide angle mode). I had a budget version and was quite dependent on retouching images.

I bought my SLR, and lenses used to block or eBay. You can do really good deals if you can think of a camera by a model that has a few years old. I have a Sigma SD14 and a Sony a200 . The opportunities to develop with an SLR is endless. For those who are, or are interested in photography, I recommend membership in the Photo Page and / or Flickr . Both are good sites where you can share their photos and be inspired by others.

In Car

Towel, dry socks and spare shoes. Being able to replace a pair of wet or sweaty socks before leaving home is underestimated.
